Influence of textile effluent and chemical fertilizers on the yield of tossa jute (Corchorus olitorius)

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of textile effluent and chemical fertilizer on growth yield tossa jute (O-795). The in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) replicated thrice with six treatments. Growth parameters, viz. plant height, base diameter, green weight, dry matter fiber stick were assessed. highest height (3.7 m), maximum diameter (16.17 mm), plants leaves (58.65 t ha-1), without (37.46 (2.87 ha-1 ) (6.2 ha-1) recorded T2(100% RDF + 0% effluent). From economic analysis point view, it found that T4 (50% 50% effluent) showed higher BCR (2.73) than T2 (100% Although best performance observed effluent), but terms best. J. Biodivers. Conserv.
